What Questions was I Asked in TSC Interview?

 





It's me Ganesh B. Dhami all the way from Bajura, a remote district in Sudurpaschim Province in western Nepal. My teaching career dates back to 1st Shrawan, 2068 B.S. I was appointed as a lower secondary level English teacher in 2076 B.S. Similarly, I was appointed as a secondary level English teacher in 2079 B.S.

In this short article, I will present the questions that I was asked during the interviews taken by Teacher's Service Commission keeping in mind that it can be beneficial for the new candidates who are going to face their interview.

I was asked the following questions by a group of three interviewers in Western Development Regional Education Directorate, Pokhara Kaski. The duration of my interview was about 15 minutes.
Questions:
1. Give your introduction.
2. What are the types of article?
3. सरकारले सामुदायिक विद्यालयहरुमा थुप्रै लगानी गर्दा पनि गुणस्तर राम्रो हुन नसक्नुको कारण के होला?
4. अनि, पढाउन छोडेर राजनितीमा लाग्ने शिक्षकलाई कार्वाही गर्ने कुनै त्यस्तो ब्यवस्था शिक्षा ऐन मा छैन?
5. How can the knowledge of psychology help teaching?
6. What is the role of ICT in Education? What ICT skills do you have?
7. What ICT tools can you use in remote part of Nepal? How will you handle this situation?
8. How should we check homework? How do you check grammar exercise of students?
9. What the difference between inductive and deductive method?

My interview for the secondary level teacher was held at the head office of Teacher's Service Commission, Sanothimi Bhaktapur. I was asked the following questions by a group of three interviewers. The duration that my interview took was approximately 15 minutes.
Questions:
1. Introduce yourself.
2. What is the mother tongue of your students?
3. Since your students are the native speakers of Awadhi language, what are the phonological and grammatical errors committed by them?
4. What are the principles of curriculum formulation?
5. What is the difference between content selection and gradation?
10. How do you teach the connectives "because" and "because of" at class 10?
11. शिक्षक सेवा र लोकसेवामा के फरक छ?
13. शिक्षक सेवाका कामहरु के के हुन?
14. विश्वविद्यालयहरुका प्राध्यापकको नियुक्ती पनि शिक्षक सेवा ले गर्छ?
15. सबै विश्वविद्यालयहरुको आफ्नै आयोग छ?
16. नेपालमा कति वटा विश्वविद्यालयहरु छन? सबै भन्दा पछि स्थापित विश्वविद्यालय कुन हो?

20. How can we teach vocabulary at secondary level?
