Subject: About Farmers’ Problems and their Solutions

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the serious problems faced by Nepali farmers every year. Farmers struggle with a lack of seeds, fertilisers, irrigation, and pesticides during the farming season. Without these basic needs, they cannot grow enough crops, leading to food shortages and financial difficulties.

To solve these problems, the government should take immediate action. First, high-quality seeds and fertilisers should be made available at reasonable prices. Second, proper irrigation systems, such as canals and deep tube wells, should be developed to reduce dependence on rainfall. Third, farmers should receive training on modern farming techniques and the correct use of pesticides. Additionally, financial support, such as low-interest loans, should be provided to small farmers.

If these problems are not addressed, Nepal’s agriculture sector will continue to suffer, and farmers will remain in poverty. I urge the concerned authorities to take quick and effective steps to support our farmers and improve food production in the country.

Yours sincerely,

Prizen Chhetri

Subject: Concern About Massive Deforestation in Our Locality

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authority about the massive deforestation happening in my locality. Many trees are being cut down for construction and other purposes, which is harming the environment. This has led to rising temperatures, loss of wildlife, and an increased risk of landslides and floods.

Deforestation is also affecting the air quality. It is making our surroundings dull and ugly. If this continues, it will cause serious problems for future generations. The government should take an urgent action to control tree cutting and promote tree planting instead. The local authorities should take strict steps to protect our forests and encourage people to care for nature.

I request you to publish this issue in your newspaper so that more people become aware of the problem. We must all work together to save our environment before it is too late.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,
Janak Saud

Subject: Insufficient Water Supply in Our Locality

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the serious problem of insufficient water supply in our locality. I am an inhabitant of Tansen-14, Palpa, and for the past few months, we have been facing severe water shortages. Many households receive water for only a short time each day, and sometimes, there is no water at all.

There are two major causes of this issue. First, the water pipelines in our area are old and damaged, leading to leaks and wastage. Second, the population has increased, but the water supply has not been improved to meet the growing demand.

To solve this problem, the authorities should repair and upgrade the old water pipelines to prevent leakage. Additionally, they should promote rainwater harvesting and explore other water sources to ensure a steady supply.

I request the concerned authorities to take immediate action so that the residents of our area do not continue to suffer. I hope you will publish this letter to raise awareness about this issue.

Yours sincerely,
Simran Adhikari

Subject: Poor Condition of Roads in Our Locality

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the poor condition of roads in our locality. I am an inhabitant of Badimalika Municipality-7, Bajura, and the roads here are in a terrible state. They are full of potholes and become muddy during the rainy season, making travel very difficult.

Due to these bad roads, people face two major problems. First, vehicles cannot move smoothly, which leads to frequent accidents. Second, during heavy rains, the roads get flooded, making it hard for pedestrians to walk safely.

To improve this situation, the authorities should first repair and maintain the roads properly by filling potholes and resurfacing them. Second, a proper drainage system should be built to prevent water from collecting on the roads during rains.

I request the concerned authorities to take immediate action to improve the condition of our roads. I hope this letter will help raise awareness about this serious issue.

Yours sincerely,

Siddhartha Dhami
